GREYBULL RIVER WATERSHED

Woodard & Curran, South Big Horn Conservation District, & Meeteetse Conservation District are currently involved in a Level 1 Watershed Study on the Greybull River. The primary purpose of this study is to gather relevant existing information to inventory and evaluate the watershed and develop a Management and Rehabilitation Plan for the watershed. The study will present a comprehensive report of the Greybull River watershed that landowners and entities can use as a tool to focus on improvements and find appropriate funding for those improvements. The final report will be complete November, 2018.

MIDDLE BIGHORN RIVER WATERSHED

Y2 Consultants, South Big Horn Conservation District, & Washakie County Conservation District are currently working on a Level 1 Watershed Study on the Middle Big Horn River. The objective of this Watershed Study is to evaluate the watershed’s existing conditions and, from collaboration with landowners, stakeholders, and public outreach, develop a Watershed management and Rehabilitation Plan and identify projects that are eligible for funding from WWDC and other sources that may improve or maintain watershed function and systems.
