ELECTION LAW CHANGES
Currently the WID directors serve a 3 year term with an election every year for part of the board. The law has changed so that we will have an election every two (2) years with three (3) members serving a four (4) year term and two (2) members serving a two (2) year term until their successors are elected at a regular subsequent director election. Thereafter, as these initial terms expire, the members of the board of directors shall be elected for terms of four (4) years. Elections will then be held every two (2) years.
In the 2018 election that will be held on March 20, all five (5) board of directors will be up for election to either a 2 or 4 year term to initiate this transition to 4 year terms and elections every other year.
